Why can’t I purchase in the Comixology app?
To remain in compliance with Google’s updated Play Store policies, purchasing is no longer supported in the Comixology app for Android. Comixology readers can continue to read and browse, and subscription members can continue to borrow in the app as they usually do. While browsing in the app, readers can add items that they would like to purchase to their Lists, which are also accessible on the Amazon website. Customers can continue to purchase books, magazines, and comics, as well as subscription content, from the Amazon website.
How can I continue to purchase comics?
Customers wishing to purchase comics can visit the Comics Store homepage amazon.com/comixology (US) and amazon.co.uk/comixology (UK) in your preferred web browser. There you can browse or search for comics you are interested in and click “Buy Now with 1-Click” to purchase. Any comics purchased or borrowed from the Amazon website will show up in your library in the Comixology app to read.
How can I add comics to a Wish List in the Comixology app?
You can browse comics in the app and add the ones you are interested in to your list and purchase on the Amazon website. To add to list in the app, tap the heart icon from the Book and Series Pages and from Search within Discover. After tapping the heart icon, select a list to add the comic to or Create a new list.
You can view your lists in app by going to the top right menu (Utilities) and selecting “My lists”.
How can I view my lists on the Amazon website?
To view your lists on the Amazon website, visit Your Lists page: amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls (US) and amazon.co.uk/hz/wishlist/ls (UK). You can also access your Lists from the top menu on the Comics Store homepage. You can Add to List on any Books page. Can I borrow comics from reading membership programs in the app?
Members of Comixology Unlimited (US-only program), Kindle Unlimited, and Prime Reading can continue to borrow subscription content in the app. Borrowed books will appear in your library. What will happen to existing books in my library?
All of your existing purchased and borrowed comics will remain in your library! Any new comics that are purchased on Amazon website after this change will appear in your library/app as usual.
